The second Hannibal Lecter story, in which trainee agent Clarice Starling is used by her boss Jack Crawford to help in the capture of the serial killer Buffalo Bill to get the help of Lecter, however Lecter ends up using her to gain his freedom, but in return her helps her solve the case and also come to terms with her childhood.
